Hello, I am Pippa Brown, business owner of Pippa Brown Newborn Photography.  I specialise in Newborn baby photography, older babies and children.

I love to capture beautiful and timeless photographs for families and parents to cherish and look back on. Babies grow so incredibly fast and I really have a passion for freezing time and documenting the stages of growth.  I have a beautiful garden studio based in Bournemouth where I welcome lots of babies and families.

I am in my early 30’s, I have a work background in care and mental health work.  I also started a family recently and have a baby Son who is now one year old.  I am a friendly, quiet natured person, who loves nothing more than spending time with my family and close friends.  I also adore my job as a photographer and wish I had started photography a long time ago.

I started my business a little under one year ago, my love of photography grew once I had my baby Son.  I have always loved taking photographs and have always been very precise taking photographs.  Once I had my Son I decided now was the time to set up my business and take pictures for other families.  That being newborns and babies in particular.

My greatest achievement is starting my family and my business.  I am very fortunate that I have been able to do both and I enjoy having a balance of work and mum life.

My biggest role model would be my Husband, he is hard working, caring and very kind natured.  If I can be anything like him I will be satisfied.  However I always aspire to other fellow photographers from all over the globe, we can all learn so much from each other.

I hope to bring passion, enthusiasm, my expertise and a friendly energy to the Bump to Baby Show.  I am really looking forward to meeting all of the families who visit and all of the exhibitors who have something to offer to the community.  I hope to excite the families with my work and offer any advice they may need regarding photography or anything baby related.

Next, for Pippa Brown Photography is to continue to grow my business and reach more and photograph more families.  I am excited to photograph lots of newborns, older babies and children this year.  The best feeling is providing families with beautiful photos that they are ecstatic about and share them with all of their friends and family.  You can't beat that feeling!

One piece of advice for a new mum would be to ask for help, especially in the early days.  I think us mums try to be like Superwoman, however in fact we are only human and can only do so much.  We have probably been up all night and not stopped, the last thing you need is a mountain of visitors and for you to be waiting on them hand and foot.  Ask for help, it isn’t a sign of weakness!  I think I needed to take my own advice the first time round.

Just for fun...

City or Countryside?  As much as I love the countryside, I would have to say the city, I get bored rather easily and need to be occupied with something.  The city has a faster way of life and is more exciting, although I do love peace and tranquility which the countryside does offer.

Bump or baby? Definitely baby, I didn’t enjoy pregnancy one bit, the changes it brings, hormones and the back and pelvis pain, however it was all totally worth it for my baby boy.

Chocolate or chia seeds? Definitely chocolate, I have a very sweet tooth, I am  surprised I have any teeth left!!

Mumpreneur or woman in business? I would like to class myself as a woman in business, although I am a mum, I am also my own person too.  I put a lot of time into my business which is separate from being a mum.  However I am proud that I have started up my business whilst having a new baby.

Tea or coffee? Neither I don’t like either of them.

Reading a book or watching a film?
As much as I enjoy reading a book, I only ever get the chance when I am on holiday, although saying that, our holidays are a little different now we are a family.  I would definitely rather watch a good film anyway.

Obsessively Tidy or Organised Chaos?
I would say I am a more tidy person than disorganised.  I like things to be clean and tidy, I hate living in mess.

I look forward to meeting all of the local mums and families in March at the Bump to Baby Show, thank you for taking time to read my blog.

Pippa x
